Rental Car Policy - Transportation by Rental Vehicles
Enterprise Rent a Car, National Car Rental and Hertz Rent a Car currently hold the state contract and vehicles should be rented from them whenever possible. When renting a vehicle be sure to provide the state’s contract id or corporate discount number. This number will give Enterprise, Hertz or National all of the information related to the States contract pertaining to rental rates, insurance requirements and other information.

Insurance
Full damage and liability insurance coverage is included when using the state contract. If you are traveling to a city that does not have Enterprise, Hertz or National, you may use another provider; just remember to use the Visa travel card, the Visa travel card offers insurance for damage to the rental car referred to as Collision Damage Waiver insurance or (CDW): if you do not use the Visa travel card when renting from a non-contract supplier you should purchase this type of insurance.
Justification
A justification is required whenever renting a vehicle. Please submit a written explanation with your travel voucher as to why a rental vehicle was necessary.
