Two University of Houston professors indicted on fraud charges
Two university of Houston professors were recently indicted on fraud charges. They were accused of fraudulently obtaining over 1.3 million dollars from a federal small business program over the last 13 years. Both professors were part of the UH physics department. Abdelhak Bensaoula and David Starikov both surrendered to local authorities on April 28th. They face conspiracy charges, false statement charges as well as charges for wire fraud. They started a business that used federal grants for electronics production and used the money for personal things. The bottom line is that they were basically caught red handed stealing money from the government and i think that they should be punnished to the fullest extent.
