This case is a perfect example to bribery and unethical decisions as we have spoken about in Professor Baran’s course. According to this article the Marubeni Corp has agreed to pay an $88 Million fine on the basis of bribery. The Japanese trading company was found guilty to paying Indonesian officials to secure a contract for a lucrative power project. It was found that these acts of bribery have been ongoing for the past few years. The contract was for a sum of $118 Million which was in partnership with a French company; the project was completed in 2007.
