Comcast-Time Warner Review Won’t Be Led by Antitrust Chief
Comcast's proposed acquisition of Time Warner has brought about some questions of monopoly. With this the Justice Department must evaluate the question of monopoly. Baers recusal is due to his previous represented NBC when they merged with Comcast in 2011 prior to his position at the Justice Dept.
This article exemplifies ethics by Mr. Bear recusing himself from the case.
