MTC 301 Blog - "Federal Budget Deficit Falls to Smallest Level Since 2008"

After reading this article in the New York Times about the Federal Budget Deficit, I was completely shocked because I did not know about the dramatic decrease over the past few years.  The Federal Government is on the right track by decreasing the Federal Budget Deficit to approximately $680 billion.  "Federal Budget fell more sharply than in any year since the end of World War II, the Treasury Department reported on Thursday that the deficit for 2013 dropped to $680 billion, from about $1.1 trillion the previous year."  Although this is the Federal Budget Deficit, this decrease could not have been done without giving "thanks to the tenacity of the American people and the determination of the private sector."  With the Federal Budget Deficit on the right path, the Deficit could continue to drop every year.
