Ethics Catch-22 Ensnares workers furloughed by Federal Government shutdown
Since the recent government shutdown, federal government officials and workers are faced with the same problems that many unemployed American workers are faced with - unemployment. Many furloughed employees of the government are bound to their jobs due to agreements with the government that prohibit them from obtaining secondary jobs. This conflict was restrained by the Office of Government Ethics which says that he employees remain employees of the federal government during furloughed periods.
