ITS and User Services will be performing various maintenance on systems next week (10/07/2013 - 10/11/2013). There is little to no perceivable downtime for each service window, but any problems should be immediately reported to the Help Desk at 792-7440 to assist us in recognizing and troubleshooting any unforeseen issues.
On Monday morning (10/07/2013), Systems Administration and Web Services will be performing an update to the SSL certificate on the main SUNYIT website. We expect the maintenance window to last from 9:00 am to 11:00 am but expect no outages in the process. Please report any issues related to accessing the SUNYIT website to the Help Desk.
On Tuesday morning (10/08/2013), Systems Administration and Lab Support will migrate and update DHCP services for the computer lab network. The maintenance window for this migration is expected to last between 8:00 am and 11:00 am. We expect minimal downtime during this time. Any issues with network connectivity in the labs during this time should be immediately reported to the Help Desk.
On Wednesday afternoon (10/09/2013), Systems will be performing a migration and upgrade of the on-campus mail exchangers. The maintenance window for this migration is from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. We expect minimal downtime during this window. Immediately report any issues regarding community mailers, email lists, automated notifications, or scanning to email@example.com
On Thursday afternoon (10/09/2013), Systems Administration and the Banner Team will be migrating automated file transfers to a new server. We expect no downtime during this time. Any issues with automated reports or password resets should be reported to the Helpdesk.
