Americans Say US Should Aid South Korea if Attacked

A recent poll concluded that 55% of Americans say the United States should aid South Korea if they are attacked by North Korea.  Only 34% say the US should not.  The Gallup poll reinforces the notion that the continuous US military connection to South Korea is the reason behind Americans' support for South Korea.  Meanwhile, only 28% of Americans think it is likely that North Korea would attack the United States with supposedly 'cutting edge' nuclear weapons.
