The Provost's Lecture Series continues at SUNYIT on Friday, December 14, with a presentation by Ibrahim Yucel, assistant professor of communications, humanities and technology, entitled "Gamification."

Yucel, whose research interests include evolving forms of communication and community taking place within Internet-enabled social groups, will explore the use of game-making tools outside their traditional industry intended to make certain everyday tasks, activities and interactions more like a video game. The presentation in Donovan Hall G152 will begin at noon on December 14.

The Provost's Lecture Series allows SUNYIT faculty to share their research interests and activities with colleagues, the campus community and the general public. The series continues throughout the academic year.
