Editor of the New Yorker, John Lehrer, who denied but ultimately admitted to making up quotes by Bob Dylan in the book Imagine, has resigned. Lehrer was "confronted" about the quotes by the online magazine, The Tablet about the fake quotes before an investigation began. Deceiving your readers is an ethical issue because you are making something up that isnt true. This issue should set an example to all writers to write with integrity.
