The back and forth issue involving police examination of cell phones is whether or not it violates any constitutional rights. However in a case such as the one mentioned in the article involving the brutal beating of a six year old, It definitely warrants checking the cell phone. I feel that cellphone examination by police should be treated like police infiltration of a building if there is evidence to believe that it should be investigated, police should be allowed to get a warrant to check it.
