Famous Climate Scientist Live on Local Radio

Dr. Noah Diffenbaugh, Stanford University professor and lead author on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Working Group II, will be a guest for an hour during the Green Local 175 LIVE radio & internet show on Utica’s WPNR 90.7 FM, Tuesday evening November13th beginning at 7 p.m.  
Dr. Diffenbaugh, one of our nation’s leading climate scientists will be joining former Vice President Al Gore and others for the Climate Reality Project’s “24 hours of Reality” internet discussion about climate change Nov. 14-15, 2012. Diffenbaugh is scheduled for the first three hours, beginning with the kickoff panel with Mr. Gore at 8pm Eastern time (0100 GMT). 

Green Local 175 LIVE is an environment and sustainable economic development focused broadcast, which is the result of a partnership between Utica College and the not for profit The twice weekly program regularly features many local , state, and national newsmakers , as well as cutting edge issues.
Richard Morris host of the program and founder of Green Local 175 says that he is “thrilled that Noah delayed his flight to New York City to talk about the Gore event and climate change to our listening audience”. Morris says that he “admires Diffenbaugh’s willingness and eagerness to use new technologies and avenues to educate the public about the world around us”. Dr. Noah Diffenbaugh is an Assistant Professor and Clark Fellow of the Woods Institute for the Environment at Stanford University. He is currently Lead Author, Working Group II, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change , Editor, Geophysical Research Letters , a Member, National Academy of Sciences Ad Hoc Committee on Effects of Provisions in the Internal Revenue Code on Greenhouse Gas Emissions, and serves as Stanford University Member Representative, University Corporation for Atmospheric Research.
Among his awards are 2011 Google Science Communication Fellow, 2010 | Kavli Fellow, U.S. National Academy of Sciences , and 2010 - Present | NSF CAREER Award.
