Goldman-Sachs Insider trading
This article is interesting the fact of how important the mergers and acquisitions were that Goldman-Sachs was pursuing when Rajat Gupta was providing insider information on. Upon further research on CNN money, it was determined that Gupta was making trades as early as 16 seconds after a meeting had concluded to provide insider information to outside sources. This is an obvious ethical issue and breech of interest within the company, so much of a breech that Gupta will now be facing 2 years in prison because of it. Sometimes all the money in the world can't keep you out of prison, his $100,000,000 fortune will have to wait to be enjoyed until he is released from jail in 2-years.
