Fault guardrails blamed in Bronx car wreck

Recently in the news, Maria Gonzalez of the bronx lost control of her Honda Pilot (a small suv) flew over a guard rail and plumeted down an emabankment killing her and 6 family members. Speeding was blamed (68 in a 50) as well as faulty guard rails. The police report maintains although she was speeding she had to to keep up with traffic. I have been to the other city expressways many times and if you dont speed to keep up with traffic you will be run of the road. This is a very real issue and needs to be addressed. Guard rails arnt intended to be impenetrable and most arnt, yet made to slow you down and keep you on the road. Blaming the guard rails in this case may well be a way of keeping the attention off the poor job of the police to maintain speeds.
