High-Profile Trial In Cyber-bullying Case Opens
Everyone has their opinions about social media, but at Rutgers University it was undoubtedly used for the wrong reason. Now, a young man is dead. Tyler Clementi, a gay man, was filmed with another man by his roommate without knowing. The roommate then posted the video on the internet because he "hated gay people". Once he found out, Clementi committed suicide. With the trial underway, the ethical issues are coming out. It's apparent that what Dharun Ravi did was not right, but the bigger question is about the charges. Ravi is only charged with intimidation and invasion of privacy, nothing involving the death of Clementi. Really??
