In Echo of Tyler Clementi Case, New York Teen Commits Suicide After Being Tormented Online
This article discusses a 14 year old who committed suicide because of relentless cyber-bullying; this issue focuses on the ethical implications of ever-present and pervasive technology. On his web postings, he disclosed his homosexuality and blogged about being suicidal. Now at least three teens are alleged to have ruthlessly taunted the boy could face charges related to his death. As they should be, I feel that kids think they can get away with saying and doing things and there is no consequences for their actions. Kids need to realize that words can drive people to hurt themselves. Also, you would like after blogging about being suicidal that someone could have saved him. This is just sad that we live in a society like this.
