Right or Wrong
It is so funny to stand on the line that delineates right from wrong. As for plagiarism, seen in the eye of many as a serious offence, have stringent penalties if caught in the act. Likewise, SUNYIT also has its own penalties defined in the ‘Student Code’ of ethics. However, SUNYIT does not see a problem in disregarding the copyrighting of data for educational CDs.
Wait a minute, is that not also a form of plagiarism…. after all, it is a written work _ program.
However, I do see the relevance of penalizing someone for presenting someone else’s work for theirs. On the other hand, it is also unfair to duplicate the hard work of a programmer. Yet, the act may be justified by saying that the purpose is educational.
So the question is, is there really a right and a wrong if the purpose is justifiable?
