As populations continue to grow at surprising rates it is safe to say that the amount of wastewater and wastewater treatment plants also continue to increase at high rates.  Althought these plants are not exactly the most appealing structures to have around they are very much necessary and now prove to be very helpful other than by cleaning our water.  Now, the biogas created by the anaerobic digesters is a greatly valued renewable fuel and is even a more prevalent, more consistantly reliable source of renewable energy that both solar and wind power.  Therefore as the number of treatment plants increase there is an opportunity to maximize the benifits of this renewable and unique resource.
