Recently the Easterly Wastewater Treatment Facility has been experiencing residual dissolved oxygen levels dropping low enough to cause process problems.  The channels were originally equipped with air diffuser manifolds with drilled open-port air discharge orfices but the manifolds filled with biosolids and could no longer resuspend solids throughout the channel.  To overcome this problem the facility decided to use Tideflex check valve diffusers, therefore eliminating clogging as well as improving the overall mixing.
