Researchers Aim to Harvest Solar Energy

Cities often have warmer temperatures than rural areas and one factor contributing to this is the heat radiating off roadways. Scientists are now examining how to preserve this heat in the asphalt roads, which comes from solar energy, to be able to power streetlights and illuminate road signs. The technology to make this possible exists, however, it would currently be very expensive.
