Ethics Erode When We Are Tired, Researchers Say
According to researchers at Harvard and the University of Utah tiredness may be a leading cause in cheating and dishonesty in the class room. Other studies conducted support this in saying that people show more self-control in the mornings than later in the day. They also stated that people with high ethical standards were still likely to act unethically later in the day. In 2011 a study conducted said that subjects cheated more if they were required to repeat the original task. This same study also supported that sleep deprivation causes more immoral behavior.
