Water Stewardship Group to Base Initiative in Milwaukee
The article below describes the Alliance for water Stewardship, which was created by the Milwaukee Water council and The Nature Conservancy in an effort to create the first global water certification program. This is a movement similar to LEED certification in the construction industry. Along with the United States, Europe, Australia, and Latin America are all on board with the idea of a global certification program. With a starting fund of approximately 1.2 million dollars the agency should begin with a jump start in their effort to really make a damper on the global challenge of water quality and processing. Along with cooperation of other nations this certification program is a way to ensure a cleaner, safer tomorrow.
