Financial Issues Prompt Ethics Debate

This report discussed the poor economy and how it is being handled in our government. In short the government is allowing these businesses to continue making money best they can with usually results in job loss and unemployment for the average American. The big companies are the main source of funds for these government employees’ campaigns.

“The report tells an inside story of economic assault that cost millions of Americans their jobs and their homes while wiping out investors, good business and [the] market.” Added Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.): “It shows without a doubt a lack of ethics in some of our financial institutions who embraced known conflicts of interest to accomplish wealth for themselves, not caring about the outcome for their customers.”

After reading this particular passage from the article all I can say is it seems like a broken system. Change needs to come from the businesses but if that doesn't happen it needs to come from our elected officials. That’s were the blame falls on us, if we allow our officials to do this then we need to vote them out of office, that’s the only solution to this problem, period.
