In Massive Cheating Scandal, 35 Atlanta Educators Are Indicted On Racketeering & Corruption Charges
In Fulton County, Georgia 35 educators have been accused of changing students answers on standardized tests. The report says that they were doing this to improve the schools standing in the state for the standardized test scores. The superintendent that is accused of spear heading this could face up to 45 years in jail if convicted.
This is crazy story I don't fully understand the motives of the teachers in this scandal. I don’t know if these teachers were doing this to make themselves look better or to cover up their failures as teachers. Either way the ethics of this case are pretty clear, it was wrong for the teachers to change the test scores. I don't see how anyone that was involved in this could have thought that this morally or ethically right.
