Blog 1: Appropriate Use of Technology

With so many new phones, handhelds and other gadgets, there will always be people who misuse them. Using phones for personal business during work hours and meetings, misusing computers for personal email and completely non-work related things. It even happens at school. Every day in every class I see people using their phones under their table or using a computer not for taking notes but for checking Facebook and YouTube.

I understand you can get bored during class, but it's unprofessional and very disrespectful. Developing this habit now can set you up for failure later on in the workplace. You're paying good money to be in these classes so you should be focused on getting your money's worth by paying attention and putting forth an effort to get the most out of each class.

The point I want to get across is to be responsible and professional with technology in school and in the workplace.
