The perjury trial of Barry Bonds brings back the issue of ethics, and what responsibilities role models have. Bonds has pleaded not guilty and claims that he did not know what his trainer was giving him. He also faces charges of obstruction due to previous grand jury testimony where he denied steroid use.
Especial in Baseball which is considered the American sport proffesionals have a lot of responsibility to act and present themselves in a repectable manner. The league not allowing steroid use, and have strict penalties help to show that it is not right. Players are expected to have the ethics to not cheat, or use steroids.
