Summer session, academic day camps planned
Classes for college students and camps for middle and high school students are planned for this summer at SUNYIT. "SummerIT" this year consists of two four-week sessions for undergraduate and graduate students, beginning on May 29 and June 25, and an eight-week session beginning May 29. The staggered sessions will give students greater flexibility to fit summer studies around their busy schedules. In-person and telephone registration will continue up to the last day to add a class in each session. Additional information is available online at www.summerit.sunyit.edu.
SummerITeens, a program that offers a variety of applied math and science day camps for area middle and high school students, will take place in June, July and August on the SUNYIT campus.
This year's camps include robotics, digital photography, girls' math & science, and intro to engineering. SUNYIT faculty and community engineers conduct the camps, where the emphasis is on fun and challenging explorations in the company of other like-minded students.
Tuition ranges from $100-200 per camp, and need-based scholarships are available. For more information and online registration, visit sunyit.edu/summeriteens, e-mail summeriteens@sunyit.edu or call 315-792-7383.
