Wrongful Execution

This article discusses the case of  Carlos DeLuna was wrongfully convicted and executed by the state of Texas for the murder of Wanda Lopez (a gas station attendant), a crime  that he did not commit. Columbia School of Law professor, James Liebman, created a report with a few of his students stating that the the officials and police missed alot of key clues and information regarding the case. Carlos Hernandez, who did commit the crime, wasnt convicted. This raises ethical issues within police departments and our justice system ad how crimes are investigated in the Unitied States. Before anyone is convicted of a crime, the crime should be thoroughly investigated. Allowing someone to get away with murder and accusing someone else of the crime is despicable.
