Village settles with Wis. for wastewater violation
The village of Wilton has settled with the state of Wisconsin after an investigation showed they were dischargeing wastewater into a river and not testing it. The wastewater is treated before entering the river however it is required through its permits to sample the wastewater. The state of Wisconsin is going to recieve $7000 to pay forfietures and costs.
I dont think Wilton retaining a second operater for wastewater is going to help anything. The Village should be placed under stricter enforecement to ensure future issues like this dont happen again.
