Universities stop cheating
By: Greg Cleveland
If you are studying online with Coursera you had better be the one typing instead of paying the smart kid in class to do your work. They use special software that recognises students typing speeds and rythms to verify their identity. The signature track service asks students to submit a webcam photo and identification card to check their identity. Although cheating is not a new technology driven problem for schools the addition of online classes has shown a spike in cheating and leaves schools to find new ways to stop cheating.
The measures that have been taken above are a good system to run by and I am honestly surprised that nobody has come up with a keyboard that reads your fingerprints so it will verify your identity that way.
