Morgan Stanley pays off probe
In this article Morgan Stanley is accused of selling faulty mortgage-backed securities to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The corporation has now agreed to pat $275 million to resolve a probe into the sale of sub prime mortgage-backed securities in 2007. I find that interesting because the article is making it sound like Morgan Stanley is paying the US Securities and Exchange Commission so they will discontinue there investigation into the acts of Morgan Stanley. This would raise a red flag for me and would make me question the actions of Morgan Stanley. Morgan Stanley in total this month paid out $1.25 billion to settle a US. regulator's claim.
