University Police (UP) Officers enforce all NY State and local laws and the Student Code of Conduct on the grounds of the State University of New York. UP Officers are charged with full police officer powers and are responsible for the performance of the full range of professional police duties in an academic community. UP Officer assist other Local , State and Federal police officers with investigations and may collect evidence, question witnesses or testify in court in connection with alleged criminal actions. UP Officers are actively involved in campus communities and activities including educating community members on such topics as personal safety, risk awareness, crime prevention, alcohol awareness, sexual prevention and other community safety issues. |
Must have taken and passed the Civil Service exam for University Police Officer. |

Acquire and maintain current knowledge of relevant products and support policies in order to provide technically accurate solutions to users. Participate in team projects that enhance the quality or efficiency of help-desk service. Assist in special product-related issues as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a two-year technical degree or the equivalent in work experience and one to two years of prior related work experience.The candidate will have an aptitude for providing positive customer service and good communication, problem solving, and technical writing skills. |
