Eversan Inc.: A company tour with Mike Evke ‘84
Mike Evke ‘84 hosted an exclusive "insider" event for SUNYIT’s Alumni Association at his company, Eversan Inc. (www.eversan.com), on January 20, 2011. He spoke about his entrepreneurial success as owner of Eversan Inc., an international advanced technology company, with automated circuit assembly lines, and a leader in scoreboards, timers, dynamic message signs and HD LED video screens, serving commercial markets and top athletics facilities globally. Alumni, students, and their guests were able to tour Eversan headquarters, network with alumni, and enjoy snacks compliments of the Alumni Association.
Mustafa “Mike” Evke ’84 (above left), who was elected Chair of the SUNYIT Foundation in October 2010, and his wife, Esra Evke ’88 (above right), are shown on the assembly floor of the company headquarters, where they hosted the Alumni Association event. Mr. Evke, a SUNY Alumni Honor Roll Award honoree in 1999 and recipient of SUNYIT’s Distinguished Service Award in 2000, majored in Electrical Engineering Technology at SUNYIT, where he also played on the soccer team. Mrs. Evke majored in Business/Public Management at SUNYIT.
This sign is in the Eversan conference room where alumni assembled prior to the tour. The company, headquartered in Whitesboro, NY, combines state-of-the-art technology with innovation to engineer leading-edge and user-friendly products. Eversan-manufactured products can be seen throughout SUNYIT’s campus: scoreboards, external campus signage, and the food-court entertainment screen in the Student Center that opened in January 2011.
