Anthony 'AJ' Foster '09: Making his mark in Comedy

MTV® performer and SUNYIT’s own Anthony ‘AJ’ Foster ’09 performed at SUNYIT on May 20, 2011, during the Alumni Association’s first-ever alumni-and-guest Student Center pub event. Foster is involved in a number of comedy shows, and his June 25, 2011, performance in Syracuse, NY, will be preceded by a SUNYIT EOP/CSTEP & Alumni Reception open to all SUNYIT alumni.

Foster was enrolled as a SUNYIT undergrad from Fall 2005 to Spring 2009 and worked in the campus Bookstore while studying in the Computer Information Systems program. While attending SUNYIT, he auditioned for and was a finalist on the MTV® comedy series “Yo Momma!” (see image below). Foster’s television appearance in this series is available for online purchase.
Since graduating from SUNYIT in May 2009, Foster has done a number of professional comedy shows in the NYC area and throughout Central New York. He is also retained by businesses and organizations for special events, serving in speaker/host roles during shows and programs.
As an alumnus, Foster returned to SUNYIT to help co-host the 2010 and 2011 BLASU (Black & Latino American Student Union) fashion shows. Foster balances his technical and creative sides, pursuing his professional comedy career while also employed full-time as an IT (information technology) professional in the healthcare field.
