In what athletic associations, divisions and conferences does SUNYIT participate?
SUNYIT is a member of the NCAA Division III and participates in the Eastern College Athletic Conference. In addition, our teams compete in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC), and women's teams also compete in the New York State Women's Collegiate Athletics Association.
What intercollegiate sports are available for men and women?
Men's sports include: baseball, basketball, cross-country, lacrosse, soccer and volleyball. Women's sports include: basketball, cross-country, lacrosse, soccer, softball and volleyball.
Does SUNYIT offer an intramural program?
Yes, intramural sports include volleyball, tennis, basketball, softball, racquetball, soccer, badminton and others.
What general athletic facilities exist for overall student use?
The new Field House features a state-of-the-art fitness center, two full-sized basketball courts, four volleyball courts, indoor practice facilities, a running track, an expansive training room, team rooms, and athletic department offices. The Campus Center has a racquetball court, tennis courts, an indoor running track, and gymnasium. An outdoor fitness trail is also available on our scenic campus.
