As a transfer student we understand that you are focused on finding the right place to finish your education. SUNYIT will accept up to 76 of your lower-division credits and up to 94 credits with upper-division coursework. If you are interested in seeing what credits will transfer to SUNYIT please feel free to contact me at any time for a draft credit evaluation. 

You can chose from a variety of majors in technology and professional studies, enjoy an active student life, a growing campus with three new buildings (student center, field house, and first-year residence), and a close-knit campus community.

You'll never have a class in a large lecture hall with hundreds of students or be taught by a graduate assistant. Instead, you will have small classes with focused, full or part-time professors that know you by name. Your professors are experts in their field, passionate about teaching, creative in thought, and focused on you.

Outside of the classroom, there's always something going on. You can join a sport, play intramurals, belong to a club, attend a college-sponsored activity - student life is full of activities that will satisfy a range of interests.

As a former transfer student I understand that making the transition to another institution can be an overwhelming process. I encourage you to make an appointment to visit our campus! Take a tour, meet with an admissions counselor, and see for yourself all of the things SUNYIT has to offer.
