Accommodations
Putnam Manor House
Putnam Manor House is an ivy covered Italian Colonial Mansion, built in
the early 1900's as a private residence, now restored and converted to
a Bed & Breakfast. The Putnam Manor House has five guestrooms, all
with private baths, offering a night of blissful sleep. For long
extended stays we also offer 4 furnished efficiency suites with 1 or 2
bedrooms, including full bath, living room and kitchen. Our gardens
offer a splendidly sylvan setting, with statuary in our large yard, and
sitting area. We offer computer interface facilitation in each room, so
don't hesitate to carry your laptop and connect to the Internet during
your visit. We also provide telephone, FAX and voice mail service. We
are very close to area colleges, and have easy access to almost
everything in Central New York State. Only one block away is Herkimer's
historic four corners which features the Herkimer County Courthouse
(site of the Gillette Trial chronicled in "An American Tragedy"),
Herkimer Historical Society Museum, 1834 Jail and the historic Reformed
Church.
